Waupaca Chain Parade of Homes a Big Success

The 2009 Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes parade of Homes
A Fantastic Success for All!

The Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes parade of Homes, which ran through he first weekend in June was a ‘fantastic success’, so says Joel Derens of Rockwood builders. He adds that there were more serious inquiries about building than last year, it was a great exposure for the Chain, and overall, he concludes that there was just a great response to this years Parade!

And well there should have been, as over 730 people attended the Parade on the Chain this year. But of course when a builder can showcase buildings where, “In all the world, no lakes like these”, its almost a sure thing to be a success.

Mark Robinson of Robinson Homes Llc, shared a few thoughts about the success of the Parade. Although the weather conditions were not ideal, the crowd was still impressive, and contrary to other builders throughout Wisconsin and the nation, for that matter, he has seen no decline in his building workload, which is another testament to the value of a Chain O’ Lakes home.

All in all, it has to be called a complete success for this year’s Parade of Homes on the Chain. And with that said, everyone involved is sincerely looking forward to next year, and another big year!

MADISON – Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Secretary Matt Frank today was joined by the River Alliance of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association of Lakes, the Wisconsin Realtors Association and the Wisconsin Builders Association to announce an agreement to modernize the state’s shoreland protection rules, increasing flexibility for property owners to manage their land while improving environmental protections for lakes and streams.
